Hey Project Marketers…

I am sort of laying out a detailed and hopefully easy to follow map for you all as you begin to put together your marketing projects. As I have already mentioned my income online really only consists of 3 Parts. Seriously, that is it. I went over them a few days back but if you have questions still please email me or post a comment and I will surely get back to you.

As you develop the skills needed to produce income from your Bum Marketing (Part 1) you will be able to take that and invest in more long term strategies for business growth - (Part 2) and your continuing education - (Part 3).

See, in Part 1, you sell whatever people are looking to buy.  You are simply helping people buy the products and services they are already looking for and are willing to purchase. Does it take practice to do it well? Yes, of course…but the methods I lay out for the beginner make it much easier and cost effective…essentially $0 investment is required to start earning this way. You don’t have to be an expert and you don’t have to actually know anything about the product or the industry in question but the very basics. All you have to know is what drives the people in question who are purchasing, and a little bit about the product or industry itself…you should be spending more time learning what drives the people to possibly purchase a product in a given niche than the actual product features.

If you learn the basic skills needed to be successful in Part 1, this opens up HUGE doors for you to begin investing in advertising via Adwords or in building highly optimized sites to sell products through the search engines…or BOTH, as I do. Then when you hit on a winning campaign it is simply a matter of scale…you advertise more and continue to make more. You can even begin to add in the pieces of part 2 into this process when you are ready, and make a killing in any niche, or start out with that as a major component. (In other words I meant it when I said what you are learning in part 1 is the root of all SEO.)

In part 2 you are actually choosing a niche that you enjoy participating in…a niche that you enjoy learning about and would like to form an expertise in. And in all actuality you don’t even have to really be a participant in the niche itelf, but it helps to at least have an interest in learning about the topic. I have a few web properties that are like that…where the topic is very interesting, and I love learning about it, but really don’t care to actually be engaged in the process or the niche communities themselves.

But for something that you do enjoy learning about, and actively engaging in, that is where the list building phase comes into play. My expertise is in Internet Marketing generally and lead generation/traffic generation specifically… and thus you find yourself on my list which just so happens to teach Internet marketing concepts in my unique way…the Project Marketing way. If you have not figured it out yet, I follow this 3 Part process myself and you are part of it. Nothing is hidden here.

Part 3 is just my personal choice in ongoing education. I want to be an expert in my chosen field, create a unique presence in this field so I can offer what no one else can, and help others. I am a full-time student as well, because I know there are people I should be learning from…other people who are experts in aspects of Internet Marketing that I wish to learn and excel in.

So why do I lay it all out like this?

You can jump right into everything at once, or you may only be able to implement a few things at this time…maybe only Part 1. Wherever you are at or how you decide to structure your battle plan, I will be there to help you if you just ask. I will even help you decide how to structure that plan if you wish. If you cannot put forth the funds to procure your ongoing education as of yet through Wealthy Affiliate, you will have to focus entirely on what I provide to you. Don’t worry it will be good…:-) I am told that the reports and info I give away for free are better than most things people have paid for over the years.

My goal as a teacher is to not hinder you in any way. So for those who can move at a quicker pace will be able to, and those who need more one-on-one help can also receve it and not feel rushed. This is why I am simply going to label each post I make exactly like this one. You should be able to navigate to exactly what you need when you need it this way.

Project Marketing is the method… Part 1 mentions what facet of Project Marketing the post is about (Part 1 is Bum Marketing), and the second number will designate the order of the posts so you can follow along at any time, regardless of what you receive in your email from me.

I know emails can get lost and sometimes not even delivered…so if for some reason you do not hear from me in awhile, even though I am actually sending you great content, you will be able to check this blog, and see what is new, and KNOW what the post will be about before you even read it by its title.

So lets actually get on with Project Marketing Part 1-1 shall we?

In Bum marketing, the whole thing starts out with keyword research. If your keyword selection is poor, meaning it does not follow the basic criteria I have set out in the free report, then it does not matter how well written your article is or how well you present your “offer” to the reader in your article BIO Box.

Proper keyword selection is everything. It is the difference between an article that makes you a sale everyday to an article that gets a lot of traffic but no sales.

If you do not get listed in Google your article won’t be seen…it stops there. Even if it is seen, if your keyword is not a ”buying” keyword (more on that in a minute) nothing else matters after that point either, even if you are #1 in Google for a keyword that gets 1 million daily searches.

Here is the most common mistake in regards to keyword selection I am seeing thus far, from those of you who have emailed me asking for advice. There is a world of difference between the following two keywords below. One can be an extremely profitable keyword and niche and the other is not.

Keyword #1: how to get rid of belly fat
Keyword #2: how to tie a bowtie

One of these keywords is a “buying” keyword and one isn’t. Keyword #1 is the “buying” keyword and here is why.

Forget that weight loss and personal health and appearance is a HUGE market with tons of buyers for a minute. It is even easier than that. I can write an article that teaches someone how to tie a bowtie and I could do it in 300-500 words. Then that is it. Teaching someone how to lose belly fat, or weight, or better their health, is not a topic that can be settled in one simple article. A person who reads your basic article on how to get rid of belly fat will need to go somewhere to get the full answer, and that “somewhere” is of course the site in your article BIO Box…which could be YOUR list or a review of an excellent product. :-)

Keyword #1 is asking for a solution to a problem that is complex, and that can be approached from many different angles…where people need guidance and are willing to pay for help in deciphering the different angles. Keyword #2 is a simple request for information. No one is looking to buy an ebook on how to tie a bowtie. In fact, they are looking for a 300-500 word article, or maybe a site with a couple pictures to explain it and that is that. Now I may be wrong, but how many different ways can you tie a bow tie…or cook hard boiled eggs? You have to use “buying keywords” as opposed to just “information” keywords.

But you don’t even have to really guess at whether it is a buying term or not. When you get better at this method and your keyword selection you will just “know” but in the beginning a simple search in Google for the keyword term in question will give you an idea…not a perfect one, but a pretty solid idea.

Here is the test:

Go and type the following into Google right now: “how to tie a bowtie”

Immediately, something should become apparent to you. There are absolutely no ads for this being placed in Adwords (remember Adwords ads are generally shown in the right hand sidebar of the Google engine.) It is just empty space. There are no advertisers bidding on that specific keyword so you can generally assume it is not a “buying” keyword. This topic is just not “busy” enough for us. This is not a hard and fast rule but it is a safe one to follow.

In contrast, go ahead and type “how to get rid of belly fat” into Google and see the difference. There is money being spent in this market and it is quite obvious, because there are advertisers all over the place. The page that comes up for this keyword is what I call “busy.” Money is flowing. This is what you want to see… AND as long as the keyword in question also follows our main rule for this method, you are golden. That rule is:

Find highly optimized keyword search terms with 5000 or less competing pages

I go over in the free report two different methods for finding those “buying” keywords. Method One involves typing in a series of trigger words that will hopefully create for you a list of potential buyers. So for example, this is where you are typing in phrases such as, “get rid of” and “how to” and “pain” etc. Then you are allowing the people themselves to show you what it is they are willing to get rid of, buy, what ails or pains them etc….all reasons to buy.

But trigger words do not have to point to problems people have to be profitable. They can also highlight hobbies and activities that have passionate markets associated with them. Below is a list of activities you can search on and come up with possible keywords to target for your Bum marketing:

outdoor, camping, boat, paddle, climbing, packing hike, riding, fishing, cooking, snack, baking, brunch, party, lunch, entertaining, breakfast…Dating, group, relationship, single, romantic, personal sleeping, exercise, walking, playing, running, ski, bicycle, swim, floating, yoga, hockey, footbal, body building, weight lifting, abs, muscles, christmas, halloween, easter, mothers day…. The list goes on and on. You can actually just sit there and start typing out activities, concepts, or literally anything that just pops into your mind and get a HUGE list of potential words to begin research from. It all starts with an idea and as you hone things down I think you will become surprised at the level of money to be made here. Remember…I said there was no ceiling to this method and I meant it!

If you are really not sure if a keyword could be profitable by all means please email and ask me, but DO NOT post the actual keyword in a comment on this blog, as you do not want people to jump on it and render it ineffective. You don’t want someone to steal your keyword from you and go running off with it. Guard them with your life! So if you trust me to not do this feel free to send me the keyword in question in an email. I will do what I can to help you research its profitability and teach you how to do it for yourself from that point on.

I hope this post will help you to see a bit better into the heart of Project Marketing. It is a term that is subjective in many ways until you start to dig in and apply the different parts yourself. I also hope that you are better able to see what kinds of keywords you are looking for, and how to determine their possible profitability before you even write the article.

So you may be wondering what the REAL significance of my 3 Part system is all about…

Well, it is what I did…plain and simple.
